Brand Manager FMCG - Snacks

Head north of London for this exciting role with a fast-growing and entrepreneurial food company, spanning snacking, ready meals and ambient products. In this challenging role, you’ll play a key role in driving one of its snacking brands forward; leading projects across the mix to grow consumer and shopper trial, penetration and loyalty. This will include developing retail activations, digital & social media initiatives and working cross-functionally on brand launches and improvements. Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Day to day responsibility for the brand, managing multiple SKUs distributed in grocery, convenience and trade channels across the UK.
  • Working with senior colleagues to develop a clear vision and effective growth strategies, including recipes, range, packaging, communications, shopper marketing and innovation pipeline.
  • Analysing internal and external market & shopper data to pull out relevant insights, working alongside the category/commercial team.
  • Developing and executing a full mix marketing plan spanning comms, digital packaging, NPD pipeline and promotional activity.
  • Working closely with advertising, PR and digital agency partners.
  • Supporting the sales effort with a hands-on approach to market activation of the brands - conceiving and managing in store activities, POS visibility, events and other below the line initiatives
  • Ensuring that every consumer touchpoint delivers on the brand personality and tone of voice

Skills Checklist

This is a role for a highly motivated marketer with a minimum of 2-4 years’ solid experience working on FMCG brands ideally in the food & drinks industry. Key skills include:

  • Commercial savvy and strong analytical thinking skills with a good grasp of P&Ls and continuous market, retailer and shopper data including Kantar, IRI, dunnhumby
  • A strong personal interest in food & drink and healthy lifestyles.
  • Experience working on digital strategies – social media, websites and digital comms
  • Ability to travel independently to meet customers, agencies and consumers
  • Exceptional project management skills and ability to work effectively with cross functional teams
  • Creative thinking and curious – full of ideas to drive brand growth in a highly competitive sector
  • Strong team player and self-starter who thrives on a challenge in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
