Commercial Trade Communications Manager, FMCG

The role leads the Trade and Brand Communications agenda, working closely with the Customer, Marketing and Corporate Affairs & Communications teams. Specifics include;

  • Leading the trade and brand comms strategy for the UK including vision, priorities, activities, plan and timings through the right platform (face to face, events, press and online), with consistent messaging aligned to the global corporate narrative
  • Stakeholder engagement: Building relationships with trade publication partners to affirm category leadership.
  • Trade press: Developing a calendar of topics and building powerful communications to amplify and reinforce corporate brand position. Manage trade press office.
  • Deliver internal comms to bring brands to life and engage teams and individuals
  • Brand Communications: Work closely with the Marketing team to build strong connections with PR agencies
  • Lead and manage corporate brand reputation
  • Lead trade events and shows

Experience required

  • UK FMCG experience, ideally gained in food & drink sector.
  • Significant experience either in a client side communications leadership role, or in a PR or comms agency.
  • Experience across a range of channels including grocery, convenience and foodservice.
